How to Measure
Foot length
Stand barefoot on a piece of paper. Mark the back of your heel and the end of your longest toe, then measure the distance between the two points. Measure both feet and use the larger measurement.
Shaft height
Measure vertically from the base of your foot to the centre back of your leg.
If the boots feel slightly too tall at the back of your leg, a heel raiser can alleviate this.
Calf circumference
Standing barefoot, measure around your calf at both 29 cm and 33 cm above the floor.

Should I size up or size down?
If you are in between shoe sizes we recommend sizing up in our Dorchester boots.
If you are in between calf sizes we recommend sizing down.

Protect Regularly
- Before first wear, apply a high-quality leather protector to help guard against water, stains, and dirt.
- Clean your boots regularly using a soft brush or damp cloth to remove dust, mud, and surface debris.
- Condition the leather regularly with a suitable leather cream or balm to keep it nourished, supple, and prevent drying or cracking.
- Buff the leather with a soft cloth after conditioning to restore the leather's natural finish.
Avoid Water and Prolonged Moisture
- Your Dorchester boots are not waterproof boots and are therefore not designed to be submerged in water.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture, mud, or harsh weather conditions wherever possible.
- Allow to dry naturally, away from radiators or direct heat. Once dry, brush lightly to restore the texture.
Maintaining shape
- When not in use we recommend that you place your boots flat in their box, with boot trees inserted.

How to care for your Chilcombe Loafers
- Before first wear use a high-quality aerosol suede protector (as opposed to a lever spray) for a finer, more even application.
- Reapply regularly.
- Cover Chalbury hardware with a finger or thumb on application.
- Suede is delicate by nature. Avoid wearing your loafers in heavy rain or wet conditions.
- Use a soft suede brush to remove dust and maintain the natural texture of the suede.
- Blot spills immediately and gently with a clean, dry cloth - never rub.
- Allow to dry naturally, away from radiators or direct heat. Once dry, brush lightly to restore the texture.
- Allow mud to dry completely. Once dry remove gently using a suede brush.
- Use a suede eraser designed specifically for suede. If stain persists consult a specialist.

Exchanges & Returns
Exchanges and Returns
We hope that you will be thrilled with your new purchase, but we understand that some things are just not right for everyone. You may cancel your purchase with us at any time up to and including the fourteenth working day after the day on which the Product is delivered to you. To do this you must notify us by post or email at our registered address or info@chalbury.com including your order number and confirming whether you require an exchange or refund. You must retain proof of postage of such notice.
The return of any Products to us must be pre-arranged following the above instructions and shall be to our registered office at your own cost and risk. We advise that you return these by recorded delivery and retain your proof of purchase.
Returned Products and packaging must be received back to us undamaged and unworn and in the same condition they were in when delivered to you. On receipt of your returned Product in such same condition we will process a refund to the card used when placing your order as soon as possible but in any event within 14 days of receipt of your return.
Returns will not be accepted outside of our 14 day returns period. Please ensure that you inspect the Products to ensure you are happy with them before disposing of packaging as this will affect your right to an exchange or refund.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Can I return at item that I purchased at an event?
Yes, you can exchange or return any Product purchased at an event to us online in accordance with our usual exchange or refund policy. Please retain your receipt as we are only able to offer an exchange or return where you have this – a bank statement showing a Chalbury transaction will not be accepted.
Can I exchange or return an item that I purchased online at an event?
Items purchased online must be returned using our pre-paid Royal Mail postal service.
International orders may be subject to local taxes and import duties, payable by the recipient upon delivery.
